About Coffee County Criminal History

Coffee County criminal records are divided among the sheriff, two courthouse divisions, city police departments, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the Alabama Department of Corrections, and the Alabama Sex Offender Registry. Elba is the county seat, but the eastern court division is in Enterprise and the sheriff's headquarters is in New Brockton. We built this private reference site to make that split easier to follow and to route readers to the official office, search service, address, or phone number that holds each kind of record.

Why We Built This Site

One event can produce several records in different Coffee County offices. The arresting agency keeps its report, the sheriff and jail maintain booking or custody information, and the Coffee County Circuit Clerk keeps filed charges, docket entries, orders, and dispositions. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency CJIS maintains fingerprint-supported state criminal-history information, while the Alabama Department of Corrections and Alabama Sex Offender Registry cover distinct custody and registration records. We organize the verified access routes, request steps, fees, and contacts so readers can identify the right source before making a request.

What You Will Find Here

  • Agency contacts: verified routes to the Coffee County Sheriff, both clerk divisions, and Alabama record systems
  • Record guides: ways to search and read Coffee County criminal court cases
  • Official self-review steps: how fingerprint-based Alabama history review works through ALEA
  • Record relief information: where Alabama expungement petitions and supporting records are filed

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, not an Alabama government service. It has no affiliation with the Coffee County Sheriff, either court division, any police department, ALEA, or another public agency. Those boundaries mean:

  • We do not issue certified court files, criminal histories, or other official copies
  • We cannot submit records requests, expungement petitions, or court papers for a visitor
  • We do not run official criminal-history checks or retrieve a person's record
  • We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, disposition, or expungement rule as legal advice
  • We cannot promise that a public office has not changed an address, fee, phone number, or procedure

An official record must come from the office that maintains it, such as the Coffee County Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, or Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider operates its own service, controls its own prices, and determines what its results contain. If a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid service, this site may receive a referral payment. That support helps make the public reference material available without a visitor fee. We neither set partner charges nor control partner search results.
